Get one of them naked. Or spontaneous kisses. Or kisses to shut up. Or kisses because you did something that makes my chest ache with how warm it is and I can’t stop smiling like a fool just when I’m around you, the game is already up, going for it.

There is potential with spontaneous kisses…and that last sentence there just makes me smile so very much.

(Nakedness will not be happening, not just yet, because I find myself suddenly writing a character that’s got no clue whatsoever when a romantic relationship is staring them right in the face, and also not experienced at all with most facets of relationships, so naked time is going to take some time to get to. That, and they’re in public. In broad daylight. That would take some crafty maneuvering, LOL).

Okay, off to research gardens for inspirational purposes. Research rabbit hole, here I come!

Magical Paths Begging To Be Walked

Roads and paths pervade our literature, poetry, artwork, linguistic expressions and music. Even photographers can’t keep their eyes (and lenses) off of a beautiful road or path, which is why we collected this list of 28 amazing photos of paths.

Paths like these have a powerful grip on the human imagination – they can bring adventure, promise and change or solitude, peace and calm. There’s nothing like a walk down a beautiful path to clear your head – or to fill it with ideas!

I’ll leave you with an excellent quote from J. R. R. Tolkien’s works while you enjoy these images; “It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.

  1. Autumn In The White Carpathians
  2. Rhododendron Laden Path, Mount Rogers, Virginia, USA
  3. Spring In Hallerbos Forest, Belgium
  4. Autumn Path In Kyoto, Japan
  5. Autumn Path
  6. Bamboo Path In Kyoto, Japan
  7. Hitachi Seaside Park Path In Japan
  8. Dark Hedges In Ireland
  9. Winter Forest Path, Czech Republic
  10. Path Under Blooming Trees In Spring

Did you ever just want to reach out, shake your characters by the shoulders, and say “for fuck’s sake just kiss already!”

*makes stabby motions at the blinking cursor*

These two are driving me mad, I tell you.  Mad!

"Mr. Crane, if you had to dress up in a costume, what would you dress as?"

Asked by copperbadge

Mr Copperbadge,

Alas, I have very little experience in this area aside from some small play-acting when I was a youth. Let us just say that I was a deeply unconvincing milkmaid.

However, having consulted with Miss Jenny and Lieutenant Mills, they both agree that were I to dress up in any kind of costume it would be that of a folk hero named Captain America who, apparently, like me is a man out of his own time who strongly believes in liberty and fights for a good cause.

To which I can only reply: not in those tights.

Your humble servant,

Ichabod Crane

Apparently the booty shorts are okay, though.

You know you’ve been living in New York too long when…

…you see film trailers outside your office and all you can think is “aw, crap, not again,” instead of “oooh, who can I see today?”

Or outside your apartment building. And the worst? Walking by Craft Services and you want to eat some!

Honestly, if I ever spotted a trailer outside my apartment, my first reaction would be:

"Did you get lost?  What the hell are you doing here???”

Because with the exception of one especially good pizza place (and some interesting history that no one ever talks about, but that’s a feminist rant for another day), there is just about nothing to do whatsoever in Gravesend, Brooklyn.

Although a Craft Services table sounds so very good right about now, LOL.
